Chilean Earthquake Support
On February 27, a magnitude 8.8 earthquake occurred in central Chile, about 56 miles northeast of the city of Concepción. I had the privilege of getting to know many of the good people of Chile while living in Concepción and the surrounding areas from 1989 - 1991. Any donations or support that you can offer to the Chilean people at this difficult time is sincerely appreciated. Below is information about the American Red Cross efforts and a link to their website should you choose to make a donation through them.
The American Red Cross is working with its partners in the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, including the Chilean Red Cross, to assist those affected by this disaster. Your gift to the American Red Cross will support emergency relief and recovery efforts to help those people affected by the earthquake in Chile. Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include deploying personnel, sending relief supplies, and providing financial resources.
